I've been working on this for about a week now. Whenever I wanted to kill some time this sucker would pop out of my "Drafts" folder. It's long so don't read it all. Do something productive instead. The only reason I posted it is because I spent too much of my down time working on it, haha. I'm weird like that. Shutup.
Deep Thoughts About Life and You in it (1/12/07)
- Do you live in the moment? Not as much as I'd like to. I've realized that I plan the hell out of things only to have them fall to pieces at the last minute. I'm working on this.
- Do you consider yourself tolerant of others? Very. I'm excrutiatingly patient with people.
- Do you have any secrets? We all do. Anyone who doesn't is lying like WO.
- Do you like your handwriting? Loves it. I've always had VERY neat handwriting. Cursive is another story, though... I ditched too much damn school in 4th grade.
- What is the compliment you get from most people? Ehhh... that I'm easy to hang around with I guess. I'm too outgoing for my own good.
- What's your biggest fear? I'm scared to death of ending up alone.
- Are you a loner? Ney. Not even a little bit. There are VERY few times that I'm not surrounded by people.
- What are your #1 priorities in life? This doesn't make sense... you can't have more than one #1 priority... but whatever. To have fun, I guess. Relationships, parenting, career... I want them to be fun. I'm realistic though, I know it can't be a party all the time.
- Are you a daredevil? Hellllll yeah. Skydiving next year. Doing it.
- Is there anything you fear or hate about yourself? I wish I wasn't such a skeptic. I'm waaaay too realistic for my own good.
- Are you passive or agressive? Passive. I rarely share my opinions if I know it'll end in a debate. Especially when it comes to politics, religion, etc. I hate debates.
- Do you have a journal? I do. I've had it for about 4 or 5 years now and I only write in it when something big happens. It's mostly to keep a record of myself.
- Do you think you are emotionally strong? Too strong. I'm definitely my father's daughter and I was raised not to cry. I put up with alot these last 2 years and I still haven't broken.
- Is there anything you regret doing/not doing in life? I wish I would've stuck with soccer. I miss it. I also wish I would have started student government sooner. That ish was fun.
- Do you think life has been good so far? It could have been alot worse. I'm thankful for what I have and the people I know. I'm proud of myself for becoming the person I am today despite the things I've been through. That's all that matters, I guess.
- What is the most important lesson you've learned from life? Patience patience patience.
- Are you confident? I am.
- Are you perceived wrongly? Rarely. I'm pretty upfront about things so you get what you see.
Do You... (1/14/07)
- Smoke? Ney.
- Do drugs? The only thing I've tried is herb.
- Pray? Ney.
- Go to church? Ney. I didn't "lose faith" or anything. I grew up in a slightly catholic household and we never went to church. I had my First Holy Communion when I was 8 but I only went because my parents said I couldn't play soccer if I didn't go. They did it s they thought I should do it. Now I'm too realistic to believe in God. Nothing against it, though. I'd love to be religious... I just can't bring myself to that point.
- Talk to strangers who IM you? No. I'll be polite and ask if I know them, but if they dont come up with a valid answer I usually lose interest.
- Take walks in the rain? Not as much as I'd like to. I always have somewhere to be when it'd raining. I don't mind getting soaked. It's just water. Water dries.
- Talk to people even though you hate them? I dont hate. But I DO talk to people I dislike. In fact, they probably didn't even realize I didn't like them. There's only been like 2 people in my life that I have genuinely disliked.
Would or Have You Ever? (1/14/07)
- Been hospitalized? I've never broken a bone or been sick enough to stay in a hospital. The closest I ever came was falling off the back of my grandpa's parked truck while I was jumping out. We had been playing hide & seek. I fell & hurt my hip pretty bad. The ambulence came but it wasn't a serious enough to have me admitted. I've been to the emergency room a few times for my crappy kidneys too. Usually an outpatient thing, though.
- Been out of the country? Mexico. Going to Canada soon, too :]
- Gone skinny dipping? Hahaha. No. I did once go to a bath though, and had to strip in public and walk around with a towel. And my dorm in college had communal showers.
- Had surgery? Surprise surgery on my eye. I went in to get my cyst checked out and the bitch cut my eye lid open. That whore.
- Ran away from home? Hahaha... please. I was never grounded, never had to do chores, and always got permission to do whatever I wanted. I was a good kid. No need to runaway.
- Played strip poker? Ney, strip POOL.... yes ;]
- Gotten beaten up? No, I've never even gotten into a heated argument. I talk my way out of everything
- Been on stage? I was the understudy for the lead in our 7th grade play. Twas good times.
- Slept outdoors? Camped in J's backyard when I first bought my tent.
- Thought about suicide? No. I've always thought that was for quitters. You can pull yourself out of anything as long as you're not a lazy asshole.
- Pulled an all nighter? Pfft you're talking to ze up-all-night master
- If yes, what is your record? In the good old yearbook deadline days I went 3 nights in a row without sleep.
- Gone one day without food? Yep. I tend to do it during summer break when I can sleep in all day.
- Talked on the phone all night? Not since high school.
- Slept with the opposite sex w/o actually having sex? Yessss. It's good times. Do it.
- Slept all day? Duhhh.
- Made out with a stranger? No thank you. Whore-free is the way to be
- Had sex with a stranger? Same as above
- Kissed the same sex? Hahaha...
- Done anything sexual with the same sex? Playfully sexual... yes. Me and Nat are the masters of that. Seriously sexual... no.
- Been betrayed? No. I don't give people enough power to do that. I'm picky about who I'm vulnerable with and to this day there's only 2 or 3 people that can genuinely betray me... but I know that they wouldn't.
- Had a dream that came true? I had a storybook romance.
- Broken the law? I think the closest I've ever come to being ticketed was when we were all down in "the Wash" after the homecoming game senior year and the cops showed up thinking we were the ones that had been doing all the grafitti down there. They checked our hands to make sure there wasnt any paint and let us go.
- Met a famous person? Martin Lawrence at Red Lobster once. He sat behind us.
- Been in a mosh-pit? Once. Never again.
- Had a nervous breakdown? Ney. I can talk myself down every time.
Beliefs (1/15/07)
- Belive in life on other planets? Yes. Not the way pop culture presents it, though. The universe is too huge
- Miracles? I define a miracle as something inexplicably wonderful. I've been fortunate enough to see a few of those. I'm not religious, but I definitely believe in miracles.
- Astrology? No, not really. It's a nice fantasy though, and interesting story-building material.
- Magic? Yes, or at least in the presence of forces beyond our knowledge.
- God? Meh
- Satan? Mehhhhh
- Ghosts? No.
- Luck? No.
- Love at first sight? No. You can't love someone if you don't know them.
- Yin and yang (that good cant exist w/o bad)? I dont think you can appreciate good and realize that something is good unless you have the bad. So yeah, I guess I do.
- Believe its possible to remain faithful forever? Absolutely. Err... maybe not mentally though, everyone's minds occasionally wander.
- Believe theres a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow? There's no end to a rainbow. If it weren't for the earth, the rainbow would continue down and form a sphere of colors. You can test this for yourself by driving through a desert or really dry plain when it's raining in spurts.
- Do you wish on stars? Guilty. It's a habit I've had since I was a little kid. Whenever I'm down I go outside and hunt down shooting stars.
Theological (1/16/07)
- Do you believe in the traditional view of Heaven and Hell? What, like clouds and hellfire? No.
- Do you think God has a gender? That would be personifying God and personifying God is dumb. God is supposed to be an absolute being and therefore has no "species." But what do I know. I'm just a skeptic.
- Do you believe in organized religion? Hate it. It's done more damage than anything else in the world. I'd probably believe in God if it wasn't for the politics involved in every religion. You shouldn't have to go through a priest to ask God for forgiveness. I think it should be a private, unspoken relationship between you two.
- Where do you think we go when we die? Into a very, very dark hole in the ground.
